College Decision

Just made my college decision yesterday. Well, I have committed to Mercyhurst College in Erie,PA. I chose this college as I believe they will be very competitive in the next and future coming soccer seasons. At the very start of my search a number of months back, I wanted to study a Major that involved health, fitness and nutrition. I will be looking to Major in Sports Medicine. I am sure it will be a difficult course, but hey, nothing in life comes easy. I will have to keep up a 2.65 GPA to continue my studies.

Erie, as a city seems like a great place. I have done plenty of research about Erie and its surroundings. It will be very cold during the winter which will come as a bit of a culture shock to me. Shops are close by to the college and theres seems to be a good variety of things to do there also.

Dale White, the Head Coach from Mercyhurst, was a great help to me all throughout the recruiting process. He was the first coach to call me and have a serious interest in me WITHOUT video.

Lets see how it goes now, it will be an adventure!

Irish Schools Trials/Training 2010

 After my performances from playing with Munster in the Schools Inter-Provincials I have been selected to go for trial for the national team. ^

IRELAND , Facts- Population.

 Above is the four Provinces of Ireland: Munster,Leinster,Connaught & Ulster. I have represented Munster in Mens School Soccer in  an Inter-Provincial Tournament played in Athlone on October 14-17 2010 & October 15-18 2009.

Above is a map of the Counties of Ireland. My own County, Waterford can be found in the South East region of Ireland.(#38) During my soccer career, I have represented my county in soccer under ages -12,13,14,15,16 & 20.

Just under 4.5 million live in the Republic of Ireland.

Munster is the largest of Ireland's four provinces. It covers a total area of 24,125 sq. km, (9,314 Sq M) one third of the area of the whole state. The largest towns in the Province are Cork, Limerick, Waterford, Tralee, Ennis, Clonmel and Killarney.

the county of Waterford has an area of 1,838 sq. Km. The last census in Ireland was done in 2006. At that time the population of Waterford was 107,961. That was made up of 45,748 in the city and 62,213 in the county.

Final Game of Airtricity Season! (Waterford United)

Pictured above are some of the moments in our final game of the season at home to Shamrock Rovers.
I am in most/all of the above pictures and can be seen mainly in the left backround of the above photographs. On the day I played left back and chasing the game with 20minutes to go I was pushed up as a Left Sided Midfielder. We lost this game 2-1. Date_ 26th-Sept-2010

Munster Squad Finalized 2010

after going on trial with Munster Schools over the last couple of weeks and from a date in May of last year, I have been named in the Munster Soccer Squad which will play three games in the Schools Inter-Provincial competition which will take place up in Athlone between the dates of November 15-17 2010.


This competition is for Senior High School students. From last year after playing three games for Munster Schools in the same tournament as I will be playing this year,  I was selected and brought forward for trial for the Irish School's International Squad.


I will keep posted on how training, matches and the tournament goes.

Signing!

I have now signed back to my previous club Waterford Bohemians just earlier today(28sept). I have just finished a season with Waterford United in which we played 10 games, with a record of 3-3-4. I have started 8 of these games at Left Fullback and two games at Left Sided Midfielder. After signing back with my previous club, I will now be playing in Central Defence for the foreseeable future.

 Above is my results in my Junior Certificate. The Junior Certificate is a State Examination here in Ireland. I took the exam when I was 14 Years Old.

Above I can be seen playing with my current team Waterford United (www.waterford-united.ie) in the Airtricity League of Ireland. This Game was played at our home pitch the RSCW. In the competition we have played 10 games in which I started every game, starting 8 at left fullback and 2 at left sided midfielder.

Unfortunately we lost this game by a scoreline of 3 goals to 0. It was a great achievement to make it all the way to the final. It was an honor for me to captain this team.
